Mercado Central – Central Market

The central market or Mercat Central as it’s called in the local Valencian language, is an old beautiful building in the center of Valencia. If you want authentic Valencian products, this is the place to go. Apart from the food, the actual Marketplace looks spectacular with an impressive dome in its centre.

Here you can find meat, bread, fruit and any other food you could imagine. Also you can find and buy the best “JAMÓN“ It’s a great place to buy food or to just visit for the atmosphere. Everything is local and fresh but still very cheap.

Plaza de Toros – Bullring 

The Valencia bullring was built in 1850. Located at the outskirts of the city at the time of its construction next to one of the most important gates of the wall, that of Ruzafa.

There have been many bullfights throughout its history, but nowadays it is also used for concerts and important tennis games. In addition to bullfighting shows, bullfights, wild beasts and circus people have been seen in its sand “arena”; faults have been burned, sports competitions have been organized and, depending on the moment, they have been able to see cinema, theater, listen to opera, concerts or attend political rallies.


Micalet Tower

 It is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Valencia. It is known as El Miguelete or Torre del Micalet in Valencian. The construction of the tower started in 1381 and ended in 1429.
The Micalet is a tower of Valencian gothic style,  is 51 meters high to the terrace, the same as its perimeter, and 63 meters in total. It has an octagonal prism shape and has 207 steps.
